Series revisiting stars of past BBC documentaries.

Episode 1 - "Global Village Trucking Co"

This first programme catches up with Global Village Trucking Co, a commune-living Norfolk rock group featured in a show from 1973, publicity which led them to record sessions for John Peel and two albums. Thirty-five years on, the film-maker investigates whether their idealism held out in the intervening decades, as they reunite for a gig.

Duration:  58:37

Episode 2 - "Living in the Past"

Six couples who spent 13 months `living in the Iron Age' for the first ever TV reality show in the 1970s - a very different style of programme to today - are revisited by BBC cameras. Film-makers investigate how they adapted to their return to the modern day and the celebrity status the show brought them.

Duration:  59:07

Episode 3 - "The Broken Bridge"

Revisiting two autistic people and their families, previously seen in a 1968 documentary about their pioneering speech therapy programme which gave them the gift of communication and taught many viewers about the condition that was little understood at the time. With clips from the original film, Philip and Iris reflect on what has happened to them since.

Duration:  59:00

Episode 4 - "At the Edge of the Union"

In 1985 the BBC broadcast Real Lives: At the Edge of the Union. It followed two opposing Northern Irish politicians, Martin McGuinness and Gregory Campbell, and was criticised for its portrayal of both men, in particular McGuinness, who was alleged to be the chief of staff of the IRA. This programme revisits the men to see how they have changed since the original documentary was shown.

Duration:  58:28

Episode 5 - "Fathers to Be"

Revisiting three of the main contributers from 1984 BBC documentary Fathers to Be, which focused on the last Catholic junior seminary in England, in Upholland, Lancashire, to see how they have changed in the 20-plus years since the programme was first shown.

Duration:  58:50

Episode 6 - "Kingswood: A Comprehensive School"

In 1982 the BBC made a documentary series which followed a comprehensive school in Corby, Northamptonshire. It was the first of its kind and made headteacher Brian Tyler a nationally recognised figure. This programme revisits the main contributors to the series to see how they have changed in the 25-plus years since it was originally shown.

Duration:  59:03

Episode 7 - "The Rugby Club"

In 1997 the BBC broadcast a documentary that followed the Bath Rugby Union team as it moved from the amateur days to the professional era. This programme revisits the major participants from the show to see how the transition to professionalism has affected the club and the game in general more than 10 years on.

Duration:  58:42

Episode 8 - "The Lawyer"

In 1996 the BBC broadcast a documentary which gave a revealing picture of the judicial system in Britain. It followed June Venters, a south London solicitor specialising in legal aid work, whose clients included alleged drug dealers and murderers. This programme revisits June to see how she has adapted to radical changes in the legal aid system over the past 12 years.

Duration:  59:04

Episode 9 - "They Steal Children, Don't They?"

In 1980 gypsies from East Anglia took part in a documentary that attempted to uncover the reality behind stereotypical views of travellers. Almost 30 years on, this programme revisits the main family from the film to find out how much closer they are to mainstream Britain and to what extent they are still fighting for their future.

Duration:  59:00

Episode 10, "The Skipper"

In 1993 the BBC broadcast a documentary devoted to one of the toughest jobs in Britain - that of a trawlerman. It followed Roger Nowell, the skipper of a Cornish trawler, who was in his element on the high seas but faced bankruptcy on dry land. This update revisits Roger to see how he has changed in the 15 years since the original programme was shown.
