Will Hunting werkt als schoonmaker in een school en brengt de rest van zijn dagen voornamelijk door met vechten en het omzeilen van de wet. Op een dag blijkt echter dat Will een uitzondelijk talent heeft voor wiskunde. Een leraar wil kosten wat het kost dit talent uitbouwen maar merkt al vlug dat Will behoorlijk overhoop ligt met zichzelf en met z'n omgeving. De enigen die hem kunnen helpen zijn Sean McGuire, een psycholoog die bewondering heeft voor het jonge genie en hem probeert te begrijpen en Skylar een studente geneeskunde die verlieft is op Will. Zullen zij erin slagen om Will uit z'n isolement te halen? Een innemende, prachtige film over menselijk emoties, die terecht werd bekroond met twee Oscars.





Will Hunting is a genius who's living a rough life in South Boston, while being employed at a prestigious college in Boston, he's discovered by a Fields Medal winning Professor who eventually tries to get Will to turn his life around with the help of Sean Maguire, as Will begins to realize that there's more to himself then he thinks there is.
