Ozzy Osbourne - The Ultimate Ozzy [HQ (S)-VHS-rip PAL]

Transfer done using a JVC HR-S9400 Special Edition S-VHS tapedeck - S-VHS signal > HQ S-VHS connectors > Linear Hi-Fi tracks > HQ Monster connectors > line in > JVC DR-M10S(E) - SP mode - ac3 - Dolby Digital 2.0

Not my most professional job, but a very HQ rip from the original first run VHS tape, not the 1990 reissue. Hifi stereo sound with only a few drop-outs which is kind of amazing knowing I played this tape sooo many times and not always on the best decks. If you look at the tape itself (which wasn't a decent quality tape to begin with when I bought it new back in the day), and then to the tape playing I am always amazed over the quality. Partially credits to the tapedeck ofcourse, the best (and most expensive) one I have ever owned and always maintained like a princess. The DR-M10 is one of the first DVD-recorders made and sadly it has it's child diseases. Nothing crossing the signal path though, it's just that sometimes it won't do what you want it to, and the processors would freak out. When it works, it works miracles though. The MPG2 encoders are top of the line. Never seen any better. Critics agree that this is the sole reason to buy one, they're really cheap to obtain and if you're lucky, the mothership works! Lucky you!

I have done this pretty quick. It needs to get it's menu and maybe I could polish up the sound a bit. Didn't have time to do that now and it's been laying around for years now. I enjoy it regurlarly but making a menu is not on the top of my prioritylist. Feel free to make it happen and post it if you like. Just make sure this info stays with it, especially when you would re-encode to NTSC, which could be nice for some people too.

This version has standard 5 min. chapter points.

Nevertheless captured and posted with all my pleasure, enjoy the most disturbing person on earth! (Man, that shot in the video where he wakes up as a vampire with the white curly hair! whooohahahaha, I still nearly piss myself when I see that stuff!

I guess we simultaniously got to the reason why Ozzy never really reissued this title...

Maybe a wise decision!...
