The 2009 Richard Dimbleby Lecture

Wednesday, 8th July 2009

10:35pm to 11:25pm

BBC1

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales gives The Richard Dimbleby Lecture from St James's Palace in London. The heir to the throne has become well known for identifying what he believes to be key issues ahead of mainstream public thinking, such as encouraging organic food production or emphasising the importance of inter-faith dialogue. He is also well known for on occasions being somewhat muddled in his themes, as anyone who has studied his take on architecture in the town of Poundbury can attest. In this lecture, he sets out some of the challenges which the world faces, and explores how some of these issues could be tackled in the years ahead.
