Inferno Revisited is an extraordinary, evocative, large-scale production written and produced by Peter Howell, in which Alec McCowan takes the lead role. This stunning Radiophonic work, originally broadcast in 1983, mixes drama, opera, electronic and accoustic sound, to reinterpret Dante in a modern-day setting. 





I taped this re-broadcast around 1989 when the piece was included in a short repeat season of Radiophonic Workshop involved productions that included: Delia Derbyshire (& Bermange's) The Dreams, from Inventions For Radio, and Howell's equally superb Revelations, based on the Bible's "book of". The series was BBC Radio 3's Between The Ears, and was transmitted on Sunday evenings.
