Johnny Depp is returning as Captain Jack Sparrow in a untitled third sequel in the popular "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise.
"Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" teased audiences with Sparrow and Barbossa both in hot pursuit of the Fountain of Youth!
"I think they're (Disney) pushing towards 2012," Bruckheimer told ComingSoon.net about the possible release date for this fourth "Pirates" movie. "Hopefully we can make it we'll see."
Gore Verbinski has decided that three pirate movies is enough. He's informed Disney and producer Jerry Buckheimer that he won't be directing the fourth installment. "I had a fantastic time bringing 'Pirates' to life, and I am eternally grateful to Jerry, Johnny and the rest of the creative and production team. I'm looking forward to all of us crossing paths again in the future."
