They were replaced by Leon Thomas, and John McLaughlin joined for an extended jam. 'Welcome' also featured John Coltrane’s widow, Alice, as a pianist on the album’s opening track, 'Going Home' and Flora Purim, wife of Airto Moreira, on vocals. This was a great follow-up to 'Caravanserai' and is part of the real Santana creative peak and his very successful incorporation of jazz. Includes:
