Sinopsis:


Scrat todavía está intentando apoderarse de su escurridiza bellota (mientras que, posiblemente, encuentre el amor); Manny y Ellie esperan el nacimiento de su mamut; Diego, el tigre Dientes de Sable, se cuestiona si se está volviendo un blando; y Sid, el perezoso, se mete en problemas cuando crea su propia familia ficticia raptando tres huevos de dinosaurio. Con el objetivo de rescatar al incorregible Sid, la pandilla se adentrará en un misterioso mundo subterráneo donde se toparán con dinosaurios, lucharán contra la flora y fauna, correrán enloquecidos y conocerán a una implacable comadreja llamada Buck.
