Synopsis


Shanghaï, enclave internationale, ville paraissant livrée à elle-même, peuplée d'individus de toutes nationalités. Des personnages au nom d'emprunt, au passé secret, évoluent dans un casino luxuriant appartenant à une femme non moins mystérieuse appelée Mother Ging-Sling. Poppy Smith découvre ce lieu fascinant et plonge sous l'influence d'un égyptien indolent dans l'enfer du jeu.


Cependant, le casino est menacé d'expropriation par un milliardaire qui s'accapare peu à peu le quartier. Mother Ging-Sling jouant de ses relations cherche à découvrir l'identité de l'acheteur pour le faire tomber.
