Spezialagentin Eden soll mit einem Team in der Todeszone nach dem Rechten sehen, ohne zu ahnen, auf was für ein Schlachtfeld zu geraten man im Begriffe ist.
Postapokalyptischer SciFi/Horrorthriller, in dem der stilgewandte Regisseur des intensiven Höhlenhorrors "The Descent" Neil Marshall die Actionspektakel seiner Jugend wie "Mad Max 2" und "Die Klapperschlange" zitiert und in ironisch-abgebrühter Endzeitstimmung schwelgt. Die (zumindest in der ungekürzten Version) recht ruppige B-Movie-Hommage serviert Lara-Croft-Model Rhona Mitra als taffe Actionheldin, die sich mit rasenden Kannibalen ein hektisch montiertes, perfekt unterhaltsames Gefecht liefern darf.
