This glossy animated production reworked R L Stevenson's classic tale of pirates, Black Spots and treasure. The stars were animated animals. More importantly, the Big Twist this time was that Treasure Island itself was a more sinister, mysterious place - indeed, it was almost personified, behaving in various magical ways to thwart our villains or aide our heroes...





Series 2 continues where Series 1 left us hanging. They aren’t the most complex plots, and since I have been unable to locate an official episode guide I’ve put a little one together that hopefully doesn’t spoil anything

The island seems to be destroyed and the ill luck doesn’t stop there as the friends become separated and all hope seems lost. Not for the first time, Ben Gunn seems to know just what to do even with events that he can’t possibly have experienced before and he and Jim set about restoring the balance of nature.
