Trama

Bo and Luke Duke were handsome and honest hotshots and cousins living with their Uncle Jesse and sexy short-shorts-wearin' cousin Daisy on a farm 


in Hazzard County located somewhere in the Southern United States. While mostly interested in minding their own business 


(and driving at very high speeds in their souped-up Dodge Charger [nicknamed the General Lee]), the Duke boys sometimes fell prey to the greedy 


schemes of corrupt town leader Boss Hogg and his dimwitted flunky Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane. Sometimes serving as "Robin Hood" types 


(replete with bows and flaming arrows), the Dukes attempted to help out their friends and neighbors in distress and avoid being jailed by the unscrupulous Hogg.

La serie, ambientata nell'immaginaria contea di Hazzard, narra delle vicende della famiglia Duke, composta dai giovani cugini Bo, Luke, Daisy e dal loro anziano 


zio Jesse, contrapposta al locale e unico amministratore della contea Jefferson Davis Hogg, detto semplicemente Boss, ed allo sceriffo Rosco P. Coltrane ed al 


vice sceriffo Enos Strate.Bo e Luke sono in libertà vigilata, per cui non possono legalmente oltrepassare i confini della contea senza chiedere il permesso al 


commissario, ossia Boss Hogg (e sarebbe naturalmente come parlare al muro) e non possono usare armi da fuoco (nella serie usano archi di tipo sportivo, 


talvolta legando degli esplosivi ai dardi). Di mestiere concorrono in molte gare automobilistiche della contea e delle zone limitrofe, oltre a svolgere lavoretti per 


i vecchi amici della famiglia Duke dietro compenso. Prima Bo e Luke consegnavano il whiskie distillato dallo zio Jesse, contrabbandandolo illegalmente... 


tuttavia la polizia federale li catturò circa tre anni prima dell'età in cui è ambientata la serie; i due cugini finirono in galera, ma lo zio Jesse barattò con la loro 


libertà condizionata, la promessa che non avrebbe più distillato alchool.


"Boss" Hogg, personaggio avido e ingordo, è spesso implicato in affari poco puliti per arricchirsi alle spalle di altri o che comunque danneggiano i componenti 


della famiglia Duke, i quali però puntualmente lo smascherano o lo riducono alla sconfitta.Caratteristici della serie sono gli inseguimenti automobilistici con evoluzioni 


acrobatiche, spesso tra lo sceriffo Rosco ed i cugini Bo e Luke a bordo della loro automobile detta Generale Lee.
