On December 14, 1999, 300 people squeezed into the Cavern Club in Liverpool to watch Paul McCartney perform at The Beatles' legendary venue for the first time since 1963 to promote his new album 'Run Devil Run'. Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour and Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice were among the other great musicians joining him on stage. Both BBC radio and television were there to record the event to broadcast the following night. Unlike the radio broadcast it's television counterpart, which was broadcast on BBC One and laterly shown on BBC Choice, only lasted 40 minutes deleting "Blue Jean Bop" and "Try Not to Cry" - but re-instating "Shake a Hand", that was left off the radio broadcast, from his original set list.
