Tony Hawks began his career in show business as a singer-song writer, leading a trio called Morris Minor and the Majors. He now performs stand-up comedy, appears regularly on panel games, and is also an author. His books Round Ireland With a Fridge and Playing the Moldovans at Tennis, have both been broadcast on Radio 7. Tony donated half of the royalties from his Moldovans book to a trust fund in Moldova, and the monies raised were used to open a medical centre which provides therapy for disabled children.
