Human Rights, Human Wrongs was a season of short films introduced by a celebrity in which they highlighed a particular abuse of human rights that was occuring somewhere in the world. There were 4 series in total which were broadcast between 1993 and 1999. The programmes were as a co-production between the BBC and Amnesty International.



This episode was rebroadcast on BBC4 on the 19th January as a part of an evening's programming dedicated to the life and works of John Mortimer. In this episode he describes how treaties which outlaw the death penalty for those under 18 are being violated especially in the USA. The episode has been slightly edited since its original broadcast to bring the viewer up to date with the conclusion of the main case in the USA that John talked about.
