First programme celebrating the famous snooker venue. This programme concentrates on the period 1977-1982. 





Please note the quality of this isn't very good, the picture is quite muddy and the sound is very  hissy. But its an interesting programme from when snooker became big on TV,or at least the period I remember when even our non sporting family would watch the games.


Frilly shirts, cigarettes and pints much in evidence.





Features clips and interviews of classic games/frames from Ray Reardon, Alex Higgins, Eddie Charlton,Dennis Taylor, Cliff Thorburn, Steve Davies, Jimmy White amongst others.


Also the interruption of the 1980 final by the Iranian Embassy seige.





The programme is presented by David Vine-who else?
