Crown Court  was courtroom drama which ran between 1972 to 1984 and shown in the afternoons on ITV where it was produced by Granada Television. A court case in the Crown Court of the fictional town of Fulchester would typically be played out over three weekdays in half-hour episodes. Although those involved in the case were actors, the jury was made up of members of the general public from the local Granada Television area and it was this jury alone which decided the verdict.



REGINA v BARNES : WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GEORGE ROBINS?

Synopsis: High-roller George Robins has not been seen since he disappeared from his country cottage, where the police found bloodstains and signs of a struggle. When rumours of a relationship Katherine Barnes wife of Harold, a well known London villian, began to circulate the police didn't believe they needed to look any further. Harold Barnes has now been charged with murder despite the lack of a body.
