Crown Court  was courtroom drama which ran between 1972 to 1984 and shown in the afternoons on ITV where it was produced by Granada Television. A court case in the Crown Court of the fictional town of Fulchester would typically be played out over three weekdays in half-hour episodes. Although those involved in the case were actors, the jury was made up of members of the general public from the local Granada Television area and it was this jury alone which decided the verdict.





Synopsis: When captain of history Sir Thomas Crittenden died of a massive coronery he left half his money to his wife Lady Crittenden and the other half split between his children Tom and Kate. When Raoul Lapointe came forward and claimed he was Sir Tom's son from his first marriage in Africa the claim was dismissed as absurd by Lady Critterden. Today he stands trial at Fulchester Crown Court, where he is accused of attempting to obtain money by deception.
