As Tully digs through ancient texts, speaks with respected experts, and walks the hallowed grounds of the Holy Land he gives a rich view into the more guarded aspects of the Christian figurehead. Jesus is presented as a great social revolutionary, a gifted rabbi just trying to get by, and an ascetic of mythological proportions.
