Crown Court  was courtroom drama which ran between 1972 to 1984 and shown in the afternoons on ITV where it was produced by Granada Television. A court case in the Crown Court of the fictional town of Fulchester would typically be played out over three weekdays in half-hour episodes. Although those involved in the case were actors, the jury was made up of members of the general public from the local Granada Television area and it was this jury alone which decided the verdict.





CREDIBILITY GAP: STEVENS v PORTON CONSTRUCTION


Synopsis: While working in difficult weather conditions on the Caron Suspension Bridge in Scotland for the Porton Construction Company Jack Stevens fell 40 feet and is now severely disabled. The company for whom he was working deny liability, but Stevens' wife is suing them.
