Dopo un periodo di ricovero in una clinica psichiatrica, in seguito alla tragica morte della madre, Anna, fa ritorno a casa dove ad aspettarla c'é la sorella, e dove scopre che il padre ha iniziato una relazione con l'infermiera che curava la madre. Come se questo non bastasse, di notte riceve la visita del fantasma della madre, che la vuole mettere in guardia su quali siano le vere intenzioni dell'amante del padre. Sconvolta da tutti questi avvenimenti, Anna, insieme alla sorella cercherà di far aprire gli occhi al padre, ma in virtù dei suoi passati problemi psichiatrici, non sarà un'impresa facile...
