Ever since the National Lottery started in 1994, BBC1 has held the rights to screen the number draw.


They do this on Wednesdays in a five-minute slot after the News, but on Saturdays they bolt on an


otherwise unrelated game show to turn it into a full-length prime-time programme.





This doesn't have the pizzazz that a host of the calibre of Bruce Forsyth would have brought to a show; 


indeed, the premise of the actual game isn't all that wonderful either. It's constructed around the notion 


of one contestant pitting his general knowledge against a hundred simultaneous challengers.





This is the fourth episode out of the eight in this series. The first three might be floating around as scene 


copies, but I wouldn't like to guarantee it. As this isn't the first episode, it doesn't get to be free leech, 


which is a pity for anyone who's just curious.
