My PDTV recording of this programme failed, so I had to work with my TV-rip backup. Unfortunately, 


this means the opaque MHEG-5 logo (the "red dot") is hard-coded into my MPEG-2 source file.





I could have removed it from my XviD AVI by downloading the iPlayer version, and writing an AviSynth 


script to select the relevant portion of each of its video frames and patch them over the red dot on my 


TV-ripped version, but I'm disinclined to emperil what little remains of my sanity for this programme.
