Der Tag ist für Linda Hanson völlig normal verlaufen, bis ein Polizist an ihrer Tür klingelt. Mit der Nachricht vom Unfalltod ihres Mannes Jim bricht für die zweifache Mutter eine Welt zusammen. Traumatisiert schläft sie ein, nur um am nächsten Tag einen noch greren Schock zu erleben: Jim sitzt quicklebendig am Küchentisch. Zunächst glaubt Linda geträumt zu haben, doch am Morgen darauf ist sein Tod wieder grausame Realität. Als sich Dj-vu-Vorfälle häufen, erkennt Linda, dass ihre Erlebnisse offenbar nur die Visionen von Ereignissen sind, die erst in der Zukunft geschehen werden. Aber kann sie Jims Tod verhindern?
