Sinópsis: Samantha Darko, hermana de Donnie, que al cumplir 18 años viajará hacia Los Angeles junto a su mejor amiga para tratar de triunfar en Hollywood. Sin embargo, sus sueños se verán truncados cuando sufran una avería en el coche en un pequeño pueblo de Utah. Mientras esperan unos días a que su vehículo sea reparado, y son molestadas por un grupo de jóvenes del lugar, inexplicablemente un meteorito caerá en el lugar y las cosas empiezan a parecer que no han sucedido por casualidad.
