Gestern noch schien alles in Ordnung im Leben des 40jährigen George, einem erfolgreichen Unternehmer, Vater von zwei beinahe erwachsenen Kindern und Gatte einer schönen Frau. Heute aber erwacht er nach etwas, das eine Routine-Darmspiegelung hätte sein sollen, geschwächt und zugedröhnt in einem seltsamen Krankenhaus, entdeckt eine frische OP-Narbe in seiner Bauchdecke und scheint von Freunden und Familie vergessen zu sein.
