Backlash est souvent synonyme de match revanche entre les catcheurs qui ont fait Wrestlemania. On se souviendra plus recemment de Undertaker qui fait saigné Edge en 2008, du Last Man Standing Match en 2007 entre toujours Undertaker mais contre Batista ou plus ancien Hulk Hogan contre Triple H en 2002 ou le triple Threat match de 2006 entre Triple H , John Cena et Edge.Ce pay-per-view est jeune mais a vu toutes les superstars des années 90 et 2000 de la World Wrestling fédération Entertainment.
