Poppy arbeitet als Grundschullehrerin im Norden Londons und ist das, was man eine wahre Frohnatur nennt: stets gut gelaunt, offenherzig und hilfsbereit.Poppy muss man einfach gern haben. Auf jeden Fall aber führt Poppys Dauerflirt mit dem Leben am laufenden Band zu den absurdesten Situationen. Poppy lässt sich ihre gute Laune nicht verderben, auch nicht von ihrem griesgrämigen Fahrlehrer. Er ist das genaue Gegenteil von ihr, verliebt sich aber in sie.
