The adventures of a dapper former Confederate officer after the Civil War, who is secretly employed as a crime fighter by the city of New Orleans.  In this episode, city administrator Colton entrusts Yancy with an army payroll that is to be taken to Natchez on Yancy's riverboat, the Sultana, but robbers have other plans.
