Tae-shik, naguère grand boxeur, gagne maintenant sa vie en se faisant boxer dans la rue par les passants. Tout ce qui lui reste, c'est sa femme - qui demande le divorce - et son fils, seule lumière de sa vie. Accablé de dettes, sans plus rien avoir à perdre, le vieux boxeur décide de briguer le titre de boxe amateur.
Sand-hwan est un jeune rebelle désaxé et violent, qui se retrouve en prison pour vol. Au club de boxe de la prison, il se sent pour la première fois capable d'accomplir quelque chose.
