WhereIsIt permet de créer un index du contenu de tous vos CD-Roms, Disques durs et autres médias amovibles afin de retrouver un élément rapidement.











La première phase d ‘utilisation du logiciel (un peu fastidieuse) consiste à faire lire un à un tous vos CD-Rom (ou supports amovibles/externes) à WhereIsIt afin de constituer le catalogue.





Par la suite lorsque vous rechercherez un fichier particulier, il suffira de saisir une chaine de caractère pour qu ‘en quelques secondes le logiciel affiche la liste des fichiers la contenant. Vous saurez ainsi sur quel support se trouve le fichier que vous recherchez.











Il est également possible de rechercher les doublons grâce au gestionnaire de catalogue.
