In Giappone però il professor Tachibana alla giuda della difesa nazionale tenta di controbattere la forza nemica sperimentando una nuova arma.


Durante una delle numerose prove sulla nuova arma, il professore muore e i suoi figli Ai e Zen rimangono feriti.


Il dottor Torii per salvare i due poveri ragazzi decide di impiantare loro delle parti bioniche, nella parte destra per il ragazzo Zen e nella


sinistra per la sorella Ai.
