Remake dell'omonima serie degli anni '80, questa nuova versione vede Sarah Graiman, figlia dell'ingegnere che costruì il modello originale di K.I.T.T., subire un tentativo di rapimento. Dopo l'incidente Sarah riceve una telefonata da K.I.T.T. che la mette in guardia, avvisandola che suo padre è in pericolo. Sarah si mette in contatto con Mike Tracer, un amico d'infanzia, per avere aiuto. Mike è appena tornato dall'Iraq e non accoglie la richiesta di Sarah positivamente. Tuttavia la ragazza riesce a vincere la sua riluttanza e insieme cercano di scoprire chi si nasconde dietro il tentato rapimento e chi è che vuole mettere le mani su K.I.T.T.
