In 2001, one month before the events of September 11th, a man was driven by loss of identity, depression, and paranormal events,  to leave the USA in search of a greater truth. He chose to find it by way of a bicycle. His original goal was to cross South America's middle, from Lima, Peru, to Buenos Aires, Argentina. His clandestine goal, was to find out what was haunting him inside. 


	Then September 11th happened, and he was thrust into a series of events which immersed him into an ancient mystery. Because of his political views, and the mystery of what he was investigating, the man realizes that he cannot return to the USA any time soon. Instead, he chose to pursue the mystery as far as he can go. Because of the shock of the September 11th attacks, the man also wanted to learn what was going on that would cause a group of people to attack the USA, and he begins to uncover the bloody history of Latin America, and it's connection to US foreign policy. The rest of his journey was dedicated to understanding the mystery, the people, their stories, his own place in the world, and his relationship to them.
