Chloe tries to apologize to Lucas, but it's Lucas who apologizes to her. The two lovers decide to try again. Will is seemingly supportive, but wary. Will informs his dad he intends to finish out the semester at Salem High. Lucas is thrilled and asks Will to be his best man at his wedding to Chloe.
Nicole is upset to learn EJ went to see Sami. When she calls him, Nicole snaps, and ends up completely embarrassed. Nicole and Chloe meet in the park and Chloe fills Nicole in on what's been going with Daniel and Lucas and lets it slip that Sami confided in Lucas that her "baby" was still born. Nicole finds this information interesting. Nicole worries about Sami and EJ's bond and Chloe urges her friend to "woman up" and fight for her man the same way she's going to fight for Lucas. Nicole agrees, but knows it's not going to be that simple.
EJ and Sami continue to spar. Sami warns EJ about Nicole. Sami admits she's done things she's not proud of, but Nicole is only going to break EJ's heart. EJ wants to know why Sami feels like this and she admits because there is a part of her that will always love him. Later, she makes EJ promise to protect Johnny from the DiMera way of life and EJ says he can't. All he can do is love his child and let him make his own choices. This affects Sami somewhat leaving her to wonder if maybe she's made the wrong decision where Grace is concerned by keeping her away from EJ. Off this warm moment, Sami goes to attend to the kids and there's a knock at the door. EJ answers to Rafe and Sami is stunned to see her former bodyguard.
Chelsea finds a resigned Daniel, off of having lost Chloe, at the Cheatin' Heart. He basically apologizes for being a dog to her. He has noticed that she's with Max and hopes it works out. Max is slightly jealous of Chelsea's rapport with Daniel and Chelsea finds this to be a turn on. Daniel sees Max and Chelsea kiss and imagines that they are Lucas and Chloe. Alone, Daniel can't help but think Chloe's made the right choice.
