Der Film spielt in der äItalienischen Sozialrepublikô, der sogenannten Republik von Sal?, einem faschistischen Marionettenstaat im von Nazideutschland besetzten Norditalien. Vertreter des untergehenden Regimes, die als moralisch und sexuell verkommen beschrieben werden, halten adoleszente Mõnner und Frauen, die teilweise gewaltsam entf³hrt wurden, mit Waffengewalt in einem Anwesen gefangen. Die Behandlung der Gefangenen steigt ins Extreme an, so bekommen sie Kot zu essen und werden wie Tiere an der Leine gef³hrt. Am Ende werden sie von den Schergen der Faschisten brutal gefoltert und ermordet.
