synopsis
Une énorme colonie de 200 millions de fourmis mangeuses de chair apparaît dans la jungle brésilienne, dévorant tout sur son passage. Horace Lennart, un scientifique de Thorax Industries, société spécialisé dans l’extermination des nuisibles est appelé à la rescousse. Clair Dubois, sa petite amie, entomologiste de profession, fait également le voyage. Mais ce qu’il vont découvrir quant à l’origine et les intentions des insectes, dépasse de loin tout ce qu’ils avaient pu imaginer…
