Beginning in Minden you are driving on the most important railway route of Lower Saxony on its way to Hanover.

ProTrain 21 - (Kiel - Flensburg)





Through the characteristically bending scenery of Schleswig-Holstein. 


The route Kiel - Flensburg also bears the name "the fastest side route of Germany".


This is because trains can reach here a speed of up to 120 km/h.





After crossing the Kiel Canal you enter the way of Eckernförder and reach the characteristical scenery around Angeln and, finally, Flensburg Hbf. 


As train conductor you drive this route on an hourly basis and, hopefully, on time. Various roll material and activities supoport you in this tasks.

ProTrain 22 - (Erfurt - Suhl)





Welcome in Eastern Germany in 1985 - Starting at the county capital Erfurt the main route to the city of Arnstadt using overhead wire. 


You can clearly see the new gantires made of concrete, substituting the steel as a very valueble raw material to be imported.





Leaving Arnstadt the diesel fleet takes over. Soon the steep grades will order your full attention. Drag i.e. the city-express "Rennsteig" 


towards the longest tunnel of the fromer DR called Brandleitetunnel. 


Nestling the steep up hills of the Thuringian forest you will reach the next county capitol Suhl, well known for its manufactures for 


hunting weapons and motorcycle which causes a significant amount of freight. 


The following route to the railroad hub Meiningen with its black shop winds down really smooth. 


Do you like it even a bit steeper? Then take the challenge to the steepest grades for the standard gauge in Germany. 


Overcome up to 66% with regular traffic between Suhl and the village of Schleusingen. 


Or you may follow the footprints of Goethe crossing the mountain crest of the Thuringian forest; also the route via the station 


Rennsteig will order your full attention because of its impress grades.

ProTrain 25 - (Koblenz - Giessen)
