Jason wordt weer opgegraven zodat de mensen er zeker van zijn dat hij dood is. De rottende Jason wordt echter door de bliksem tot leven gebracht en hij gaat terug naar Camp Crystal Lake, dat inmiddels Camp Forrest Green heet (om de herinnering met Jason te begraven). Terwijl de sheriff de paniekerige grafschenner opsluit, richt Jason in legeruitrusting en met ijshockeymasker een slachting aan in het kamp.
