ono 15 anni che Juliette non ha alcun contatto con la sua famiglia che l'ha ripudiata dopo la condanna per omicidio. Uscita finalmente di prigione viene ospitata dalla sorella minore Léa che vive a Nancy con il marito, le due bambine adottive e il suocero malato, e con la quale Juliette ha sempre avuto un rapporto molto bello. Il ritorno alla vita però non è facile, tutti le fanno domande sul suo passato e tentano di capire il perché di quel gesto orribile, ma Juliette ha costruito un muro troppo alto intorno a sé e niente sembra più scalfirla. L'affetto di sua sorella e delle sue nipotine la riporterà lentamente a contatto con la realtà e con un mondo che per troppo tempo è andato avanti benissimo anche senza di lei. Il dilemma rimane, come può una donna così dolce e premurosa aver commesso un reato così orribile?
