Tratto dal famoso fumetto "The Spirit" di Will Eisner ed ambientato nella buia e misteriosa Central City, il film racconta le gesta di un ex
poliziotto ritornato dalla morte nei panni di "The Spirit" una sorta di
giustiziere che combatte il crimine della città. Il suo antagonista e
pericolo numero uno per la città é Octopus, il cui progetto é quello di
radere al suolo la città e conquistare l'immortalità. Protagoniste del
film, anche una manciata di donne che entreranno in contatto con
"The Spirit", ognuna con intenti diversi...
