Ben Carson (Kiefer Sutherland) hat seine Mitschuld am Tod
eines Kollegen nicht verkraftet und deshalb den Dienst
als Undercover-Polizist quittiert. Um seine mit ihm
zerstrittene Frau (Paula Patton) und die Kinder zu
versorgen, nimmt er den Job als Nachtwaechter in einem
heruntergekommenen New Yorker Kaufhaus an. Schon in den
ersten Stunden entdeckt er merkwuerdige Erscheinungen
innerhalb eines gewaltigen Zierspiegels. Darin lauert
eine toedliche Gefahr.
