Synopsis





À la demande du gouvernement américain, 


Helen, une scientifique de renom, se dirige vers Central Park. 


Elle arrive juste à temps pour voir s´y poser un objet volant non identifié 


ayant la forme d´une énorme sphère, duquel émergent un extraterrestre à l´allure étrange, 


suivi d´un robot indestructible. Mis sous observation par les autorités, 


le passager de l´espace prend apparence humaine et affirme se nommer Klaatu. 


Perçu comme une menace et sur le point d´être interrogé, 


ce dernier réussit à s´échapper grâce à la complicité d´Helen. 


Alors qu´un vent de panique s´étend à la planète entière, 


Helen, accompagnée de son beau-fils Jacob, tente de venir en aide à son protégé, 


consciente des conséquences tragiques que suppose sa visite sur Terre.
