Deze film over de Boston Strangler gaat dieper in op de vraag of de Boston Strangler wel of niet kon worden gearresteerd. Geruchten doen de ronde dat de man die werd opgepakt voor de feiten helemaal niet de Boston Strangler was en zelfs niets met de feiten te maken had, maar werd gedwongen tot bekentenissen om zo de rust te doen weerkeren in en rond Boston. Daar vermoordde de Boston Strangler, in de late jaren '60, naar schatting dertien vrouwen.
