Una lujosa fiesta de sociedad se celebra en Budapest. A la celebracion asiste Jonathan Harker, un joven inversor acompañado de su novia Mina Murray y sus amigos. Alli cocnoce a Vladislav Tepesh (Patrick Bergin) un acaudalado heredero que se interesa por los servicios del joven para adquirir una propiedad en Budapest para su tio, el conde dracula. Para cerrar el trato Jonathan debe ir a conocer al aristocrata a su castillo. Alli es recibido por el enigmatico caballero cuyo comportamiento es cada vez mas despreciable, ruin y despiado. El conde acaba haciendo rpisionero a su huesped, quien queda encerrado junto a las seductoras vampiras que habitan el castillo. Entretanto, Dracula viaja en busca de Mina De quien se ha enamorado por una fotografia.
