Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy) from a fantasy African country, wants to escape from his planned marriage to a fantasy princess born to serve him. He takes the Concorde to America to find a Queen who will love him, and appropriately decides that Queens, NY is the place to go. With Arsenio Hall as his sidekick, the two get a job in a faux McDonald's, and sure enough Murphy finds his soul mate.
