Der Film Christiane F.  Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo ist ein Drama und zugleich Biographie.





Der Film erzählt über das Leben von Christiane Felscherinow aus Berlin-Gropiusstadt. Um 1974 kam sie über Freunde erstmalig mit Drogen in Berührung. Die beginnende Drogensucht ist schon bald nicht mehr zu kontrollieren, sodass Christiane schließlich im Alter von 14 Jahren am Bahnhof Zoo der Prostitution nachgeht. Ihr Freund Detlef, ebenfalls Strichjunge, unterstützt sie dabei. Christianes Mutter weiß nichts von der Sucht der Tochter, bis es beinahe zu spät ist. Als Christiane in der Zeitung liest, dass ihre beste Freundin Babsi (Babette Döge) im Alter von 14 Jahren an ihrer Drogensucht gestorben sei, ist sie entsetzt. Zu dieser Zeit war Babsi die jüngste Heroin-Tote Deutschlands.
