Due streghe trasformano in cigni i sei fratelli di Heidi. Ella si impegna, per liberarli dall\'incantesimo, a restare muta per sei anni durante i quali dovrà anche confezionare sei maglie con gli spinosi fili di rovo. Va allora a vivere nel bosco, con la sola compagnia dei suoi amici animaletti. Un giorno un principe trova Heidi, se ne innamora e la conduce a corte. Le due streghe, gelose, convincono il principe che Heidi sia una strega: la poverina non può parlare per spiegarsi. Viene condannata a morte. Ma i fratelli la salveranno.
