Stonewall Noise Orchestra is rooted in the beautiful industrial city of Borlänge, Sweden. The band, wich consists of members from Demon Cleaner, Greenleaf and several other constellations was formed in the summer of 2004. In 2005 they signed with Daredevil Records for their full length debut "Vol. 1". The music might be influenced by 70's groovy rock along with many other sources of inspiration, and the band is never afraid to try new things. Whatever feels right at the moment is what ends up on tape. The debut album was recorded at Pophouse, Borlänge. Snicken and Mr. Pillow engineered and produced and Martin Haglund did the mixings. With "Vol.1" and a bunch of compilations released the band's been touring europe and received great response as a live band

..................

From the silhouette of the naked chick on the CD inlay to the fuzzed to the nth degree riffs, Stonewall Noise Orchestra’s debut doesn’t leave much room for subtlety. It’s loud rock, just the way the devil (who, coincidentally, makes an appearance on the cover) wants it.

Featuring members of riff rock pioneers Demon Cleaner (and Demon Cleaner/Dozer side project Greenleaf), Stonewall Noise Orchestra obviously has a knack for catchy songwriting. “Superfortress” and “Freedom’s Prize” have a distinct Rock-for-Swedes quality to them (see Dozer, Astroqueen, Dexter Jones’ Circus Orchestra, etc) – fist pumping, head banging, ass shaking rock. Others, such as “Two Sides of a Sin” and “As My Sun Turns Black,” run closer to the Hawkwind psych pop rock of Monster Magnet. When they combine the two, as on the outstanding “Going to Clarksdale,” they really latch onto something memorable.
